HONOURED TO HAVE ADVANCED TO THE LEVEL OF MASTER

Beyond thrilled to share some exciting news—I’ve officially earned my Master accreditation from The Portrait Master Awards 🎉 This round was extra special with a combination of three silver awards, and bronze medals for all the images I submitted. Every single one brought home some hardware, and I couldn't be happier! And the cherry on top, one of my images, which I will post about later, was also a category winner 🏆🥇.  Feeling proud.

The International Portrait Master Awards and Accreditation today announced the results of its summer 2024 portrait photography competition honoring top talent in the portrait photography industry. I’m delighted to share that the organization named me a Master of The Portrait System. This accreditation is a meaningful recognition of my creative and technical abilities.

Each round of The Portrait Master Awards and Accreditation is judged by a team of award-wining photographers. Jurors evaluate and award scores on a scale of 1 to 100. Images are judged on a range of creative and technical factors and photographers earn accreditation points by receiving Bronze, Silver, and Gold merits.

Here are the areas within the image that are evaluated and graded:
Expression and Connection
Styling
Composition
Posing
Lighting
Overall Technique and Presentation
Post-Production
Focus
Storytelling

Three and a half years ago, I jumped into the world of portraiture, styling, retouching, and creativity—and I haven’t looked back since! My journey is all about pushing my craft to new levels, not chasing awards. But I’ll admit, it’s pretty awesome when that hard work is recognized!

Being honored by The Portrait System Awards and a jury of top photographers in the international portrait scene means the world to me. It’s a huge motivator to keep growing, learning, and improving. This recognition fuels my passion to deliver even better work for my clients!

Some people ask me if the accreditation process is worth it.

Absolutely! Each round of the competition has taught me something that I used in a future session. The title “Master Accredited Photographer” assures clients that they are working with a true professional with a cohesive body of work. Think of it as a Quality Check stamp of approval. It's hard work, it can get depressing but it's worth it.
