I’m Mike, and if you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re looking for something special. As a Master Accredited photographer based in sunny Barbados, I specialize in creating fine art-style portraits that capture personality, emotion, and connection. Whether you’re an individual, couple, family, senior—or even looking for sports photography—I’ve got you covered.

Now, a little about me: I’m 67 years young (even if my body sometimes has other opinions!) and married to the most wonderful woman. We’ve got two fantastic sons, a lovely daughter-in-law, and the star of the show—my grandson Archie (or “AJ” as we like to call him), who was born in December 2022. And guess what? There’s another grandchild on the way! Though I’m based here in Barbados, my heart often hops across the Atlantic, as my family lives in England.

I’m also a proud dog dad to two rescue pups, both with personalities that keep me on my toes.

I began my career back in 1977 in the world of IT—that’s over 50 years of tech experience! But it wasn’t until I picked up a camera that I discovered my artistic side. Photography quickly became my passion. Portrait photography, in particular, stole my heart. I love connecting with people and capturing who they really are, whether in a studio portrait or through sports photography.

A few highlights: I won a few photography awards right before COVID hit and decided to invest that prize money in learning the craft. In 2019, I joined the Sue Bryce Education platform to study portraiture, and I’ve been hooked ever since! In January 2023, I earned my Associate accreditation with The Portrait Masters, and by summer 2024, I hit Master status! It’s been a tough and enjoyable ride, but receiving international recognition for my work really fuels my passion to keep growing and creating stunning images for my clients.

My studio, located on Dayrells Road, is air-conditioned, comfortable, and filled with props, jewelry, hats, scarves, and even a selection of women’s outfits. And if you’re a bit camera-shy, no worries—I’ve got a chilled bottle of blush wine on hand (or tea and coffee if that’s more your liking!).
